That son-of-a-#$^# can't be trusted!

Saw this at my friend's kids' school . . . ah, what they could have avoided with the use of a well-placed hyphen!

maybe this makes sense to Canadians

sure, okay, originally uploaded by laterain@sbcglobal.net.

. . . but this one was amusing to me, if not downright bewildering.

Aren't they always?

And I'm sorry, folks . . . I've been slacking again . . . but just came back from Canadia and I will have plenty of good stuff for you soon!

everybody loves a sale . . .

ho-me grown here in West Michigan

okay, I lie, there's no "ho-made goodness" in this sign except that I was the one who spotted it near my . . . HOme . . . and you can see my HOmely hand in the picture . . .

but seriously? my first thought was, "what litigious, overly protective, needs-to-be-b#$%^-slapped mother was behind THIS ridiculous and utterly unnecessary signage?"

worst. stocking stuffer. EVER.

Janessa T's commentary here is worth the price of admission in its own right:

"All right, so it's a bit outdated [um, yeah, that's what she said A MONTH AGO when she first sent this to me]--but still ridiculously funny. I took this at a Walgreens. I don't know anyone who gets stockings from anyone other than their parents, and to pull a bottle of lube out of my stocking in front of my family would be worse than my mom telling me you can buy adult material on eBay but can't pay for it on PayPal (true story)."

Strickly Speaking

Kelley from Atlanta, GA found this gem . . .

Kelley notes:

You'll also notice a missing apostrophe in "owners" and a missing parentheses at the beginning of the area code. And, on a totally different level, I am also amused at the idea of the actual violators being towed or booted, instead of their cars. ;-)

I would tend to agree with her . . . seems like somebody's sign maker needs to be "booted"!

while I've been gone . . .

never fear . . . there are other wonderful people holding up the mantle of . . . whatever it is we're trying to do here!

including this appealing restaurant sign with a deeply philosophical viewer's commentary . . .

seriously . . . "baby" sausages? that sounds cute . . . no wait. maybe it sounds creepy . . . no, cute. um, creepy-cute?!
